To add more effects on sound (That premiere pro is unable to do ) such closed circuit camera when the mad doctor is watching the polices

Sources of audio files used for sound effect as well as using youtube mp3 converter as well as to watch some video to get some idea about convention of thriller and example of good thriller movies

Sometimes we use this instead of premiere pro to edit video

Speed: Los Angeles SWAT officers Jack Traven and Harry Temple thwart an attempt by a bomber to hold an elevator full of people for a $3 million ransom. They corner the bomber, but as he grabs Harry, Jack shoots Harry in the leg, forcing the bomber to release him. The bomber turns away, appearing to die in an explosion using his own bombing device. Mood Board

Our inspire props and theme for this project - I made using Word while collecting appropriate images from the web.
This is an example technologies integrating.

Throughout this project we have been dependent on technologies being deigned to work together. For instance with used a DSLR (hardware) to create a digital file which was compatible with other hardware (Mac) which use software (Pr Ae) to manipulate it and create another digital file. This was then upload to youtube (an online service) which gave us a HTML embed code which we used to place it on our blog.

3. How have your skill developed?

In the past, I did not really know how to edit the scene or put it together. I had never know how to use camera because I was not a fan of taking lots of photos. Also, I was not sure that which music was suited for specific scene and what the scene was trying to convey. Moreover, my organisation was not good. At first, my team and I went to take a first scene and we were not planned so we were kind of struggled what we should do first and sometimes the place we film, was not free because we had not arrange the time with staff there. However nowadays, I have developed the skills of editing as well as how to use angle of camera to create implicit meaning. I have learned how to use music to create a tension to audiences. For example sad scene I tend to use music that is in minor key, slow (andante), conjunct melody, narrow range of pitch (within an octave). Over the course I have developed organizing skills. I arrange the plan for filming as well as the equipment that are needed so when the place we film is free, we can go straight away to film. Ultimately, my acting as a doctor, has improved a lot because I have been practicing a lot.

2. Evaluation How does my product engages with audiences

Images of people who like Speed

The audience of Speed are typically male between the age of forty to forty-five, leaning toward the left in terms of political support. They work mainly in telecommunications, marketing/retail and mining, with an annual income of 1000$ or more and not very high class. They could actually said to be somewhere along the lines of low to middle class.
This particular audience often originates from the Northwest, Midlands and the West Countries.

They’re not very concerned with healthiness and exercise and often spend their time glued to the television screen. They would often describe themselves as knowledgeable, easy-going and straightforward. However, on occasion they can be impatient, grouchy and moody.

Fans of ‘Speed’ also watch TV shows such as ‘Get Smart’, ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation and the ‘Mission Impossible’ series. Their musical choices include ‘The Pretenders’, ‘Michael Crawford’ and ‘Creedence Clear Water Revival’.
Some of their favorite celebrities include Steven Seagal, Christopher Walken and Rutger Haijer.

Images of people who like Silence of the Lambs

The typical fans of the ‘Silence of the Lambs’ are also male viewers with the age gap ranging from in-between ages forty to forty-five. They tend to be more toward the left in terms of their support of politics. They mainly originate from the Northwest, Midlands and the South Coast.
They mainly take up professions as or are interested by topics regarding politics and emergency services as well as architecture and interior designing. Their average salary tends to be above 1000$.

Their ideologies are typically that they are not suited for the healthy lifestyle. They also find toilet humor very enjoyable and a have a negative outlook on religion, believing that throughout the course of history, it has done more bad than good.
These particular audience members believe that the country is not on the path of progress and is actually going backward.
They would describe themselves as ‘knowledgeable, straightforward and funny’. However, at times they can also be ‘Quick-tempered, stubborn and confrontational’.

They enjoy movies such as ‘Jaws, Alien, Wallace and Gromit and the Green Mile’ while they prefer artists such as ‘Jeff Lynne, Blondie and ZZ Top’. Their list of favorite celebrities include ‘Victoria Wood, Sid James, David Attenborough and Anthony Hopkins’.

They like smart, charismatic bad guys like Lecter, John Doe therefore they will interested in the idea of a killer Dr. - educated, intelligent and sophisticated.

The Excitation Transfer is effective for them - they like to see the antagonist be really bad/cunning before being taken down. Therefore our opening would be appropriate as not only is the killer seen doing terrible things, but he also gets away with it. This should entice the audience into wanting to see the rest of the film for the killer to get his comeuppance.

Our audience is drawn to action which we have as there's a SWAT team and an explosion the opening.

It's set in a 'realistic' urban environment - somewhere they can relate to, this typical of the action thriller which are set in urban landscapes - see Heat, Se7en, Speed.

It pull no punches - it's straight down to the action and shows the good guys taking a beating. While other thrillers may be abstract and create tone and atmosphere, this gets straight into the narrative.

1. How does my product use or challenge conventions

*Please read the annotations for further analysis*

The antagonist ensnares the protagonist in an increasingly complex web, until the protagonist feels isolated and helpless.

Throughout the video, there is wind turbine sound effect which creates a feeling of the protagonists are in the same place as the mad doctor (continuing editing)

This camera technique (Indoor and outdoor) creates a feeling of continuity as if the protagonists are entering the building that the mad doctor is living by the use of white colour background.

Analysis

'Speed' is a movie about a SWAT officer named Jack Traven who thwarts an attempted hostage-situation by a bomber and causing his death in the end. However, the robber does not die and remerges to torment Jack and push him to the limit to save the lives of civilians and perform his duties as an officer of the law.

Speed

The scene we took inspiration from in this movie was the scene where the SWAT team attempts to breach and apprehend the bomber (identified as Howard Payne) in his residence. The scene begins with a view of the house with police vehicles rushing in on all sides. The SWAT team breach the house in the hopes of apprehending the suspect, however, he is not there and to make matters worse, he has left a bomb as a trap in his place.
Realising that there is no escape, the SWAT team are all killed in the blast.

Incision

This film shares its ending and plot with Speed. Our plot involves the unsuccessful attempt of arresting a murderer by two officers and finding the killer is not in the location we assumed he was in.

Similar to Speed, the killer has left a bomb in his hideout and trigger the detonator when he realises that the heroes have been successfully deceived and lured into the home.
The fate of the agents in pour film however, remain unknown.

Technological converter = The tread for different technological systems to perform same function >

1. Innovative + more fun (e.g. Pokemon go) > Digital distribution > Proliferation (A rapid increase in numbers of .....)

Consumer Proliferation
+ More choice
+ Potentially better quality game - due to competition
+ Competition - Drive down price

- Too much choice = lose interest

Developers/creators
+ Forces them to innovate - be more creative

- Hard to attract attention of consumers
- Many existing established games
- Price goes down = revenue goes down > Free - Freemium
